Letter to Daniel#6

by Chris on August 27, 2009

Wow… it’s been over 16 days since my last letter. I SUCK!! I’m really sorry, I’ve been getting up every day at 4am trying to keep up with the work. I keep trying to write, then decide to hold off another day. Well I made the same decision tonight and then thought twice and decided any word from me would probably be better than no word at all. So this one will be short but I wanted you to know we’re thinking about you and talk about you every day!

We’re so proud of you and SO excited to see you for your upcoming visit home. I was at the store buying milk when you called last week so I missed it.. MAN!!! Anyway, we’ll be there bright and early and ready to take you home.  Did you hear that I got a ticket for running a red light the morning I dropped you off at WYA? Now I’m late paying it lol so I better not get arrested when I come get you ;). Seriously, I still have thirty days before I get in serious trouble. Can you believe it though? I NEVER run red lights, do I?? A camera snapped a picture of me and I don’t think I was running the light in the photo, but I just don’t have time to fight it so I’m going to half to pay it… oh well 🙂

In other news, Kaye started school this week at TRCS, along with the other kids. She insists that she hates it but seems to enjoy it when nobody is looking lol. She wants to use your electric guitar to join the worship team… both her and mom said they thought it would be ok with you, and they’re picking up new strings for it tomorrow. Lori *finally* admitted that *she* was the one who cut your strings by the way… I thought it was sort of funny (in the past and all) but mom was pretty upset about it tonight. Anyway, let me know if you do have a problem with it, although you’ll probably be home and can speak for yourself before I get your next letter.

On to Proverbs 27. 🙂 Verse 14 is probably relevant to you right now lol.. “If a man loudly blesses his neighbor early in the morning, it will be taken as a curse.” And here’s one that I suspect you’re finally beginning to understand, as you become a young man with a bright future…; verse 17: “As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another.”

Ok, that’s it for now… I’m sitting here at Microsoft and need to get to sleep so I can wake up at 4am as usual lol. I’m heading back home tomorrow night – was just here for Thurs-Fri this week so I could be home for the first couple days of school with the kids…

I love you and can’t wait to see you!

-Dad

p.s. I still PWN U!!!
